Professional Ethics
In addition to the technical knowledge needed to respond effectively to their missions, and the legal knowledge acquired during their professional training, it is essential that our private detectives have a sense of fairness, loyalty and be open minded enough to accept contradiction in the information they collect and the observations they make, without bias or judgement of any kind.
In addition, the Private detective must fulfill his obligation to provide advice (offering a disproportionate service in the light of the client's need is not authorised) and to establish an agreement defining the mission's framework.
The intervention of the private detective must always adhere to the regulations and legislation in force in Belgium, so that the signed report which he produces for the client may be used as evidence in court if necessary.
